PGMA RP Economy Sustained Fastest Growth since 1983

Contrary to the claims of Trillanes and many opposition figures, especially those associated in the attempted ousters of PGMA, the economy is is not in ruins.

Nov. 28 [2007] (Bloomberg) The Philippine economy probably sustained the fastest consecutive growth in at least two decades as consumer and government spending made up for slowing exports.

The Philippine economy hasn't expanded at a pace exceeding 6.5 percent for three consecutive quarters since at least 1983, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The economy has grown for the past 34 quarters.

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Deputy Governor Diwa Guinigundo on Oct. 30 said expansion was probably about 7 percent in the third quarter.

This is the article.

I read somewhere in the web that the difference can felt only once it reaches 10%. Pero paano iyan mangyayari kung palagi na lang sinisira ng oposisyon ang trabaho ni PGMA?

Businesses already starting to experience this right before the Garci tape scandal orchestrated by the opposition. They complain about the poverty of the people, but what do they do... they try to wreck the economy. And do they even have Arroyo's economic skill?

Sino ang makatikim kung tuwing gumanda ang ekonomiya, binabagsak naman ng oposisyon?

There are several reasons you should be glad you are part of the Filipino economy.

Crude-oil prices are turning downward. Poor economic conditions are killing demand and oil prices will plummet. And that is the best reason to be glad you are a part of the Philippine economy. Our current high inflation and slower growth is due only to high oil prices. Our economy is otherwise strong and stable.

Dont let the gloom-and-doomers get you down and affect your business plans. They are wrong. They either cannot understand the data or ignore the facts because these do not fit into their negative mindset. And by Christmastime, you wont be hearing a word from them.

But whatever gains there may have been due to her prescient economic policies, doesn't her failure to curb the population growth wipe it all out?
