This is really very disturbing news. People who sell their kidneys are very ignorant and do not fully comprehend what they are doing. It is ridiculous that this is happening. The Philippines may not be rich money-wise, but it has a lot of land and abundant natural resources. It is just undeveloped. Why aren't these people being sent to Mindanao, for example, where they can work their own farms.

Roy has a good point there. This only happens in Manila. The govt should send these people back to the rural areas where they came from. But then, aren't the irresponsible politico wannabes the same people who bus them in to the capital during election time to get more votes and, during protests, bus them here too for show, i.e. to provide the mass supporting their causes?
