I think Gloria's pardon/commutation-due-to-age or illness policy is ridiculous. That is the problem with devoutly religious people. They have this "morality" baggage. Setting free murderers and rapists is not "saintly" work, it is a scandal.
These cases are different from that of Erap's. Erap pardon was not such a big deal because he had already served time, six years in Tanay. His crime was a non-violent one. Besides, he was a former president. Incarcerating a president is just not done, as a general rule. Even in the USA, Nixon was not punished for his crime(s?)
