I didn't approve of Gloria pardoning Erap. But the right to pardon is the sole prerogative of the president and so it must be respected. Erap has also already spent six years under detention and he was a former president. His crime was a non-violent one. And monetary damages against Erap remain enforceable.
Wrong decision. Not only is a trapo criminal let loose into society, it looks like he will be attempting to make a comeback. Note, Erap is now saying he will be fighting cha-cha. Why? Under a parliamentary government, someone like him will never make it as prime minister.
Don't be silly. Of course, I don't approve of it. The law should be the same regardless of who the person guilty of doing it is. It is a very bad precedent and PGMA should not have done it.
