Yes, it's sex and the Vatican, again. A high ranking Vatican official, a monsignor, was caught on hidden camera, in a sting, making advances to a young man. He claims to have been pretending to be gay, doing Christ's work as a psychoanalyst. Some weeks earlier, the same priest had also asserted that gay sex was not sinful during a television program on gay priests. It was suppose to be anonymous, but he got caught. In the last few month alone, among others, the news covered 5 scandals involving 4 clerics. In addition to the above, a Filipino priest is about to go to trial, accused of stealing $600,000 of parish donations. There was another one in Davao, a Christian missionary, who took pornographic pictures of orphans. They were never caught by Filipino authorities, but by the Americans. And just days ago, a Jesuit was accused of pedophilia. There are others, but the list is too long. Click here to see more. Investigations were treated like a national secret. Not only was the investigation controlled by the Catholic church, the results of same were kept under wraps. The names of the offending priests, the nature of their offenses, the parishes and dioceses affected, the exact number of priests involved, and the ages and number of victims, were never revealed... Do you know that the Catholic church, one of the richest in the country, does not pay any taxes? As to their social work, there is no public accounting for that. Did you ever ask how much of the money you give the Catholic church still goes to the Vatican? __________________
